Chesed Farms is delighted to be featured as part of the Ag- ventures in Walla Walla article in Northwest Travel & Life. We want to say a big thank you to Visit Walla Walla for their support and including Chesed Farms.

Our relationship with Brent began years back when Chesed Farms was just coming to be. In fact, when Chesed Farms owners, Sundown Hazen and Jonathan Garrett began creating Chesed Farms they visited Brent at Columbia Mushroom Company. 

As we grow our own relationships, we want to share the mushroom love by working with our mushroom friends in the region to create more delicious mushroom options for you.

Paul and the UpFlip team visited Walla Walla on opening day of the Downtown Walla Walla Farmer’s market. On that day, they joined Sundown to show how Chesed Farms has become a successful mushroom farm.

Soil biodiversity can be achieved using Mushroom Mulch and supporting the health of your soil. One local farmer realizes the importance of soil health and has been using Mushroom Mulch on his wheat farm to create a thriving growing environment.

Chesed Farms talks mushrooms with Hometown.

Lion’s Mane is a very versatile mushroom. A funky looking powerhouse of good things! It can be cooked in your main dishes, side dishes or used in a dehydrated form.

It is said that 50% of all small businesses close within the first five years. In March of 2024, Chesed Farms will begin its fifth year of operation. It is humbling to have reached this point, and the statistic brings an extra pause as we look into 2024 and make plans to ensure we put a mark on the win side for that small business statistic.
