Black Pearl Oyster Mushroom Stir-Fry

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the mushrooms: Heat Olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and sauté until fragrant and onions are translucent, about 2 minutes.

  2. Add the mushrooms: Add the sliced black pearl oyster mushrooms to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they start to brown and release their moisture, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Add vegetables: Add the sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  4. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch (if using) until well combined. Pour the sauce over the mushrooms and vegetables in the skillet.

  5. Finish cooking: Continue to stir-fry everything together until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the mushrooms and vegetables evenly, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Serve the black pearl oyster mushroom stir-fry hot over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
